Muara Banyu Asin anchorage is an offshore anchorage for coal exports from Palembang, Sumatra, Indonesia.[1]
Location
Background
In 2022, the anchorage exported 30.7 million tonnes of coal.[2] This has increased to 34.4 million tonnes in 2023, according to an industry source.[3]
One source stated that the Muara Banyu Asin anchorage receives coal from the Kertapati coal port.[4]
A video report from early 2024 documents barge loading at Muara Banyu Asin with 77,000 tonnes of coal going to South Korea. [5]
