The Muja mine is located 18 kilometres south east of Collie in Western Australia. The mine is owned and operated by Griffin Coal.
The open cut coal mine, which was developed in 1954, supplies its total output of between 1.5 and 1.8 million tonnes a year to Verve Energy's nearby Muja power station.[1]
