Background
In 2012, Sarawak Energy Bhd (SEB) said it planned to build five more coal-fired power plants, including a 600 MW Mukah West I and 600 MW Mukah West II.[1]
Since the Mukah West power station was not mentioned on Sarawak Energy's list of upcoming projects as of 2016, the project appeared to be abandoned.[2]
