Background
The pipeline is operated and owned by ONGC.[1] A previous pipeline built by Brown & Root ran along the same route and was in use between 1978-2005.[3] The pipeline runs parallel to the Mumbai High - Uran Trunk Oil Pipeline which transports oil along the same route.
