Background
My Home Industries Pvt. Ltd. operates the Mellacheruvu Cement Plant, also known as Mellacheruvu Cement Works, located in Telangana, India. The facility comprises three units with a combined installed clinker production capacity of 3.5 million tonnes per annum.[1]
The plant is currently expanding its capacity by adding a fourth unit, aiming to further increase its annual production in the near future.[2]
To support its operations, the plant has an on-site captive power station, which includes a 15 MW unit commissioned in March 2006 and a 60 MW unit commissioned in March 2012.[3]
In line with environmental sustainability, the Mellacheruvu Cement Plant has implemented measures such as constructing sumps in the mine area and plant premises for rainwater harvesting, as well as establishing rainwater recharging pits within the plant and residential colony areas.[4]
