Background on existing plant
The Nagoya power station is a 149 MW coal-fired power plant in Taketoyo that has been in operation since 2000, and a 110 MW co-fired plant that began operations in September 2017.[1][2]
Unit 2
In October 2016 Nakayama Nagoya and Osaka Gas proposed a new 110 MW unit at the plant that would be co-fired with biomass.[3][4][5]
In September 2017 Unit 2 was completed and began commercial operations.[2]
