Naini Coal Mine power station is an announced 1,600 megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station in Angul, Odisha, India.
Background
Reporting in June 2024 announced that Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) planned to set up a 1,600 MW (2 x 800 MW units) thermal power station near the proposed Naini Coal Mine in Angul, Odisha.[1][2] According to the news, SCCL was seeking 800 acres of land approximately 50 kilometers from the coal mine to develop the power station.[2]
