Background

In 2011 Okinawa Electric power proposed building the Nakagusuku LNG Terminal in Kyushu, Japan.[3]

The Nakagusuku LNG Terminal would have two 140,000 kl tanks and supplies the Yoshinoura LNG Thermal Power Plant.[3] The terminal would handle 24.6 million m3 per day of LNG.[1]

The import terminal began operations in 2013.[2]
