National Aluminium Company is a "public sector enterprise of the Government of India National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) is Asia's largest integrated aluminium complex, encompassing bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting and casting, power generation, rail and port operations."[1]

Coal-fired power stations

The National Aluminium Company is expanding the Angul Smelter power station. The existing 960 megawatt power station, which comprises 8 120MW units, is currently being expanded to 1200MW.[2]

The company is also a sponsor of the East Kutai power station, a proposed 1250 MW power station in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
