Background

The project is a 50/50 joint venture between TeraWulf and Cumulus Coin, LLC -- a subsidiary of Talen Energy, which owns the 2.4 gigawatt nuclear plant.^[1] The Nautilus Cryptomine is a portion of the data centers planned for construction at the site, which collectively have been referred to as both the Cumulus Data Campus^[2] and the Susquehanna Hyperscale Campus^[3]. The Nautilus Cryptomine is expected to reach 300 MW^[4] while the larger campus could reach 475 MW^[5], with the additional megawattage dedicated to non-cryptocurrency mining data processing applications. In addition, sites have been identified for expansion beyond the current plans, although details regarding those sites are currently unknown.
