Background

In September 2024, as part of the Gastech Exhibition & Conference in Houston, Texas, Nigeria's Minister of Petroleum Ekperikpe Epko met with Libya's Minister of Oil Khalife AbduAlsadik.[1]

The pipeline is proposed to run from Nigeria's gas production regions to Libya, passing through Niger, and was intended for gas export to Europe.[1] The leaders discussed the pipeline as an alternative to the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline and the Trans-Sahara Gas Pipeline.[2]
