Background

The pipeline is part of the gas transmission system "Nizhnyaya Tura-Perm-Gorky-Center" (1,700 km), which is used to deliver gas from the Medvezhye Gas Field in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug to Central Russia. The pipeline consists of three parallel pipelines on the Nizhnyaya Tura-Perm section and two parallel pipelines in the Perm-Gorky section.[4]
