North Eastern Electric Power Corporation

North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) was established by the government of India in 1976 to plan, investigate, design, construct, generate, operate and maintain power stations in the North Eastern Region of the country."[1] The north-eastern region includes the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. The north east region is bordered by China, Burma, Bangladesh and Bhutan.
