Nyugawa power station (住友共同電力 壬生川発電所) is an operating power station of at least 250-megawatts (MW) in Saijo, Ehime, Shikoku, Japan. It is also known as Mibugawa Rebuild power station.

Background
The power station was built in 1975 with the main purpose of supplying electricity to the Sumitomo Group factories.[1] After that, in 2003, construction work took place to convert the fuel used from heavy oil to coal. The power station reportedly also co-fires woody biomass.[2]
