Background
As of October 2024, OCL was in the final stage of commissioning 3.7 MW solar power plant at Jalgoan plant.[1]
In 2024, Ambuja Cements entered into a binding agreement to acquire 46.8% stake in Orient Cement Ltd at an equity value of INR 8,100 crore. The acquisition was part of Ambuja Cements' wider strategy reach its target capacity of 140 mtpa by 2028.[1]
