Background

In 2021, Petrobras signed a contract its sale of the Papa-Terra field to 3R Petroleum Offshore SA for a total of US$105.6 million, with US$6 million paid in July 2021, US$9.6 million paid upon closing and US$90 million contingent upon production levels and future oil prices.[5]

In 2023, Petrobras finalized the sale of the Papa-Terra field and can be paid an additional US$80.4 million in future payments contingent upon Brent oil prices and additional field development.[6]
