Paradip Numaligarh Crude Pipeline (PNCPL) is a crude oil pipeline under construction in India.

Location

The pipeline is proposed to run from Paradip Port, crosses through Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Assam, and terminates at the Numaligarh refinery in Assam, India.[1]

Background

The pipeline is an integral part of Numaligarh Refinery Limited's Integrated Refinery Expansion project, aimed to expand the refinery's capacity from 3 to 9 million tonnes per annum at a cost of Rs. 28,000 crores.[5][6]

The pipeline was proposed in December 2020 and is slated to become operational by July 2024.[4]

As of November 2023, the pipeline was reportedly under construction.[7][3]
