Background

The Pasir coal mine is an opencast mine that is owned and operated by Kideco Jaya Agung, a subsidiary of Indika Energy, in Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, Indonesia.[7] It is the third largest coal mine in Indonesia.[8]

The coal is exported through Tanah Merah Coal terminal. Kideco Jaya agung operates the Pasir mine.
