Background
Pemcorp initially invested in the facility in October 2017 through the Arroyo Energy Investors Fund II.[4] The plant was constructed in under a year using Finnish technology from Wärtsilä.[5] Commercial operations began in October 2019.[6] As of July 2020, Arroyo Energy was expected to refinance the debt package associated with the plant.[6]
As of December 2022, the Pemcorp Energy plant is not included in GEM's Global Gas Plant Tracker, as it is powered by seven Wärtsilä engines[5] and does not meet the tracker's minimum threshold of 50 MW per unit.[7]
