The Perkasa Jetty, also known as the Lubuk Tutung Special Port, is a coal loading facility located in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Location
The map below shows the location of the in East Kalimantan. The Lubuk Tutung Coal Terminal, operated by Kaltim Prima Coal, is located directly to the southwest.
Background
The Perkasa Jetty is owned by PT Bayan Resources Tbk. It has a stockpile capacity of 620,000 tonnes and ship loading capacity of 4,000 tonnes per hour. A 2.8 kilometer jetty extends out into the sea, allowing Handy Size and Panamax vessels to be directly loaded at the facility.[1] The jetty primarily ships coal from the nearby PIK coal mine, operated by a subsidiary of Bayan Resources.[2] Official materials from Bayan Resources do not not list an annual capacity for the jetty. However, the PIK coal mine was expected to produce up to 1.2 million tonnes of coal in 2021, suggesting that the Perkasa Jetty has annual capacity of at least that amount.[3]
