Background
Planned retirements
According to the Ministry of Energy (Minenergo) energy program for 2022-2028, released in February 2022, units 1 and 5 were expected to be retired by 2028.[17] The retirement year of 2028 was listed again in the Ministry of Energy 2023-2028 energy program, released in February 2023, and the 2024-2029 energy program released in November 2023.[18][19]
Unit CC1
The new combined cycle unit, 105 MW, was listed in the Ministry of Energy 2022-2028 energy program, released in February 2022.[17] As of March 2022, the company was still intending to go forward with this proposal.[20] The project was mentioned again in the Ministry of Energy 2023-2028 and 2024-2029 energy programs, and is expected to be completed in 2028.[18][19] The turbine for the project (GTE-65) was to by supplied by Russia's Power Machines. However, in January 2024 it was reported that T Plus was considering to give up the project, partly because it could not obtain the final price of the turbine.[21]
