Background
The Petrovsk-Elets Looping Gas Pipeline runs parallel to the main pipeline, however, it is unclear if it runs along the whole route or just a section of the main pipeline. The Petrovsk-Elets Gas Pipeline connects to the Yelets-Kursk-Kyiv Gas Pipeline, and the Petrovsk-Elets Looping Gas Pipeline connects to the Yelets-Kursk-Dykanka Gas Pipeline. Both pipelines were used to supply gas to Ukraine.[8]
