Background on Mine

The Pichri mine is proposed for operation by Central Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India.

There have been no updates on the project since 2015 bu in response to a right of information request in 2021, the Piparwar mine is still listed by the Government of India as an active new mine project.
