Background
MB Kolubara also operates the Polje D mine, the Tamnava Istok mine and the Tamnava Zapad mine. Between them the four mines produce approximately three-quarters of the lignite in Serbia and supply EPS's TPP Kolubara Power Plant, TPP Nikola Tesla Power Plant and the TPP Morava Power Plant.[1] [2]
EPS has another coal mining subsidiary, OPM Kostolac, which supplies coal for the TPP Kostolac Power Plant.[3]
From November 2023 onwards, more up-to-date information on this coal mine can be found at Kolubara Field B coal mine.
