Background

The Porici power station comprises the 3 x 55-megawatt subcritical Poříčí II Power Station, commissioned in 1957, and the 18 megawatt Dvur Kralove Heat Power Plant. Both are owned and operated by the CEZ Group.[1] The plant co-fires with woody biomass.[2]

According to a 2020 announcement, unit 2 was expected to retire in 2022. Two of three units were operating as of March 2022.[3]
