The Port of Stade is situated directly on the Elbe sea-lane between Hamburg and the Elbe estuary at Cuxhaven, Germany, with access to the North Sea and Baltic Canal. It handles coal.[1]

Background
The Port of Stade handles coal and other bulk commodities, along with fertilizers and construction materials such as gravel, sand, and clay. Its dock can accommodate ships up to 200 meters long.[3]
A coal power plant designed by DowDuPont for its existing chemical manufacturing facility in Stade will be built. A completion date for the plant has not been announced.[4]
