Port of Yeysk is in Krasnodar Krai, Russia. It handles coal.
Location
The port is located at the neck of Yeisk Spit in the southeast part of Taganrog Bay of the Sea of Azov.
Background
The port operates eight piers. Berth 5 handles coal and berth 6 handles petroleum coke; both berths have a loading rate of 4,000 tonnes a day, or 2.9 million tonnes a year combined.[1]
In January-October 2021, the port handled 688,000 tonnes of coal, out of 3.4 million tonnes of total cargo handled. This was a significant decrease from the same period in 2020, when the port handled 924,000 tonnes of coal.[2]
In 2022, the port handled 4.1 million tonnes of cargo.[3]
