Background

This power station provides combined heat and power to the Kilpilahti industrial cluster in Kilpilahti, Finland.[8]

In July 2022, the European Commission approved Porvoo power station as a project eligible for IPCEI Hy2Tech status to publicly fund their clean hydrogen research.[9]
