Potland Burn mine is an open cut coal mine near Ashington in Northumberland. The mine is owned and operated by UK Coal.

UK Coal is planning to extract approximately 2 million tonnes of coal from the mine. Mining commenced in March 2010 and the scheduled closure is in December 2016.
