Background
In 2021, owner Cemex announced plans to install a 2MW waste heat recovery plant to provide 8% of the plants electricity demands. Additionally, in 2024 the company submitted an environmental impact assessment for the expansion of quarry operations from 1.2 million tonnes per year to 1.7 million tonnes per year.
