Background
The project is aimed at decarbonizing industrial processes in the Upper Rhine area, and will allow for the transportation of up to 98% hydrogen from Dessenheim, France to Mulhouse, France. The RHYn interconnection projects features connections between the RHYn pipeline and the proposed German hydrogen transmission system.[5] GRTGaz has noted that they will be aiming to transport hydrogen of 98% purity through these pipelines.[1]
