Background
Ramco Cements began its journey in 1961 and over the decades have established five integrated cement plants and six cement grinding units.[1]
In 1961 Ramco Cements commenced its production journey with the Ramasamyraja plant, with an initial capacity of merely 200 tonnes per day (tpd). This is the first cement production factory in South India to adopt the Dry Kiln process to improve production and efficiency. With investments in continuous debottlenecking and technology upgradation, the current capacity of the plant stands at 3 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).[2]
