The Rapahoe East mine is a coal deposit adjoining the existing Spring Creek Underground Mine, an underground coal mine near Dunollie, north of Greymouth on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island.

Background
The mine is owned by Solid Energy, a New Zealand government-owned coal mining company.[1]
The Rapahoe East mine is currently being developed. In its 2011 annual report Solid Energy stated that it was "planning for a future extension west into the Rapahoe East mining area."[2]
