Recreio Mine or Mina do Recreio is a coal processing unit in Butiá within the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It is owned by Copelmi Mineração.

Background

The Recreio processing facility is owned by Copelmi Mineração Ltda. Copelmi is Brazil’s largest private coal mining company. It currently holds more than 80% of the coal consumption industrial market.

Recreio is Copelmi's main coal processing unit. Its annual capacities for coal crushing, blending, and washing are 3.35 million, 1.67 million, and 2.68 million tonnes, respectively.
