Background
In September 2022, WattBridge Energy announced financial closing for 480 MW of firm dispatchable generation for ERCOT. The transaction included the company's sixth installation in 32 months—the 288-MW Remy Jade power station —and a further 192 MW of incremental units at existing WattBridge sites. Remy Jade facility will operate in Harris County using six LM6000 gas-turbine packages. Like all WattBridge plants, the new facilities will be delivered as turnkey solutions by ProEnergy. The plant was expected to be commissioned in January 2024.[8]
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, 8 new units will be installed by ProEnergy at the Remy Jade power station. Units CTG 1-6 are panned to be online in June 2024 and units CTG 8-7 in July 2024.[9]
