Background
According to Energie SaarLorLux, the fuel used by the Römerbrücke has been largely converted from coal to gas, as of October 2021. The 2021 Kraftwerksliste der Bundesnetzagentur states the both of the plants units use gas as their main fuel.[6]The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity reports that 125 MW of power are generated using fossil gas as of October 2021.[7]
