Royal Falcon Mine

Royal Falcon Mine is an underground mining operation located near the Jackson-Franklin county line in Illinois. The mine was operated by Knight Hawk Coal, who commenced mining at the site on Jan. 1, 2008 in the No. 6 seam, although geological challenges slowed mining at the site in late 2009.[1]
