Background

The Rozwadów-Końskowola-Wronów pipeline is listed in the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) 2012-2021 Gas Regional Investment Plan with a proposed length of 65 km, and commissioning date of 2020.[4]

The pipeline is listed as a Project of Common Interest by the European Commission, making it eligible for public funding. It is part of a proposed network in Eastern Europe meant to improve connectivity between Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia. The other pipelines in the network include: Rembelszczyzna Wronów Pipeline, Jarosaw Rozwadów Pipeline, Hermanowice Jarosaw Pipeline, Hermanowice Strachocina Pipeline, Tworóg Tworze Pipeline, Pogórska Wola Tworze Pipeline, Strachocina Pogórska Wola Pipeline, Gustorzyn Wronów Pipeline.[1]The network is listed on the 2020 ENTSOG ten year network development plan as "North - South Gas Corridor in Western Poland" and "TRA-N-245."[5] That network is expect to be commissioned in 2029.

As of August 2021, the Rozwadów-Końskowola-Wronów pipeline is not listed in GAZ-SYSTEM's investments online.[6] However, the project was included in ENTSOG's 2022 iteration of their TYNDP, along with plans for the extension of the network to Strachochina.

In December 2022, GAZ-SYSTEM announced it had signed two contracts for the pipeline segments with ANTEA, a Polish engineering company, with an expected completion of design work in 2025.[7] This pipeline along with the Rozwadów-Strachocina Gas Pipeline would form the Central East Corridor.
