Background

The power station has primarily run on gas since 2003, but hosted 6 dual fuel coal-and-gas fired boilers at the station.[5][6] However, PGE has announced its intention to completely stop using coal at the station, instead seeking to replace it with 186 MW of gas-fired boilers, which will operate only in winter.[7]
