Background
On June 10, 2022, the Guangdong Provincial Energy Bureau approved the energy-saving report for SPIC Dongguan Dongcheng Natural Gas power station (国家电投东莞东城天然气热电联产扩建工程)[6] . It is scheduled for operation in December 2024.[7]
