Background

Sagar Cements began its journey in 1985.[1]

Toshali Cements acquired assets at Bayyavaram, Andhra Pradesh in November 2004 and began commercial production at the unit with a 400 tonnes per day (tpd) grinding facility.[2] The plant was acquired by Sagar Cements in 2016 for US $8.9 million.[3][4] Following the acquisition, Sagar Cements decided to increase the grinding plant’s production capacity from 0.18 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) to 3 mtpa with an investment of up to US $0.89 million.[3][5] The capacity was gradually ramped upto 1.5 mtpa by 2018.[6]
