Background

The pipeline has been first proposed in the 1970s. The idea has been revived by Dr Said bin Mohammed al Saqri, Minister of Economy of the Sultanate of Oman in 2021 in an interview. Given the lack of updates since 2021, the project is considered shelved.[2]
