Background
Srbijagas and GAS RES signed an agreement on the projects construction on March 16, 2021 in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. As of March 2021, the project-technical documentation is expected to be completed by June 2024, and construction completion is planned for 2026.[1]
However, the future of the project is uncertain with the Serb member of Bosnia and Herzogovina's tripartite presidency announced that he would block any projects if Sarajevo continued to block construction of Gazprom's pipelines.[5]
Proposals call for it to connect to the Balkan Stream gas pipeline.[1]
