Background
Shaliangchuan power station is a proposed 2 x 660 MW ultra-supercritical coal plant, sponsored by Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group.[1]
According to a June 2017 letter from the Shaanxi provincial Development and Reform Commission, the company plans to continue developing the project. The feasibility study of this power plant was completed in September 2017.[2]
The project is listed as part of Shaanxi's 13th Five Year Plan.[3]
In December 2022, with no apparent developments in several years, the project was presumed to be shelved.
