Background

Shandong Fengyuan Gas Thermal power station (山东丰源燃气热电有限公司燃气-蒸汽联合循环热电联产项目) was officially approved by the Development and Reform Commission of Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province in January 2019[6] and construction officially began on April 12, 2019. [7]Unit 1 was connected to the grid and started generating power on July 20, 2023[8], while Unit 2 is scheduled to be put into operation in 2024.[9]
