Background

The port is in Luojing , Shanghai, People's Republic of China. The coal terminal stopped operating in 2017, and the ore terminal stopped operating in 2019. The conversion project from oil and coal terminals to container terminals was approved in Sep 2022. The construction started shortly after in Dec 2022. Phase I of the conversion project was completed at the end of 2023 and started test operating.
