Background

The local government is promoting Shanwei LNG Terminal, listing the project into Shanwei's 14th Five-Year Plan For Energy Sector in December 2022. No project details were disclosed.

Guangdong Province's Energy Bureau showed limited support for the project in 2021.

As of February 2024, there is no progress on this project.
