Shenhai New power station (华润沈海热电厂等容量替换异地扩建项目) is an operating power station of at least 700-megawatts (MW) in Dadong, Shenyang, Liaoning, China. It is also known as 沈阳华润热电有限公司异地扩建2x350MW热电联产项目.

Background
Shenhai New power station is a proposed 2 x 350 MW coal plant in Dadong. It was planned to be a replacement of the 600 MW Shenhai power station that was commissioned in 1991. Both plants are majority-owned by China Resources.[2][3]
In 2020, the sponsor company had secured land use.[4]
Bidding information throughout 2022 indicated the project was undergoing preparation work.[5][6][7]
This project was actively moving forward based on bidding details,[8] but no details were available regarding permitting.
Construction of the power station began in March 2023 and was ongoing as of May 2023. Operation of the two units was expected in 2024.[9]
