Shenhua Watermark Coal is currently investigating the development of the Watermark Project on the Liverpool Plains near Gunnedah in New South Wales.
Shenhua Watermark Coal is a subsidiary of Shenhua Australia Holdings which in turn is a subsidiary of the Chinese Shenhua Group.[1]
In 2018 the project, Shenhua's first proposed overseas coal mine, was at the planning stages.[2]
On its website Shenhua states that Shenhua Australia Holdings and Shenhua Watermark Coal were registered in Australia in November 2008.[3]
