Background
Shenzhen Energy East power station (深圳能源东部电厂) uses clean liquefied natural gas (LNG) as its fuel, with a planned total capacity of 9 F-class gas steam combined cycle power units, constructed in three phases. [11]
The first phase project ( Unit1-1, Unit 1-2 and Unit 1-3), with an installed capacity of three 350MW-class gas steam combined cycle power units, was completed and put into operation in 2007.[11]
The second-phase project (Unit 2-1 and Unit 2-2) obtained approval from the Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission on January 25, 2022.[12] It officially commenced construction in October 2022, with a plan to start operation in 2024.[13]
